ATEK PM SERIES PM442 42 TON X 4' PNEUMATIC PRESS BRAKE
$25,675.00
  • Stock: In Stock
  • Model: PM442
  • Weight: 3,735.00lb
  • Dimensions:
  • 62.00in x 38.00in x 63.00in
  • SKU: PM442
  • Made in the U.S.A.
  • The PM Series™ press brake is a pneumatic-mechanical design, but with many new features to accommodate the higher loads and production demands associated with a 42 ton machine. Rated tonnage is developed at 100 PSI
  • Heavy duty box ways square the machine for leveling and precisely guide the ram throughout its vertical travel. when installing the machine, it's an easy task to square it for safe and rugged operation by using the adjustable box ways. Their open accessibility outside both side frames make for easy lubrication and maintenance. Replacement or adjustment takes just a few minutes
  • Elliptical, high arch design offers better balance, lessens off-center load deflection and increases bent part clearance inside the machine
  • Safety cover on front linkages enclose all moving parts on the ram. Unscrew the T-knob to open the cover for inspection and maintenance
  • Front full-length scales on the bed and ram make setting up the back gauge and tooling stations an easy task. Their position matches the position of the scales provided with optional the Smart-Gage™ CNC back gauge
  • Extra-long bed and ram with easy tool loading through either end. Using box ways adds 4" per end, 8" total, to the bed and ram length. The larger side frame windows give extra part clearance when unloading by sliding the part to the side
  • In-the-frame bed adjusting screws eliminate side frame flex. The full-frame design allows the bed adjusting screws to be mounted in the frame where no torque can be applied to flex the frames
  • Condition the air supply - Modular FRL unit is standard to condition air supply to pneumatic components for long life. The unit consists of an adjustable filter/regulator module with pressure gauge, adjustable flow lubricator module and a three-way lockable shut-off valve. The valve is vented to relieve downstream pressure in the off position per OSHA guidelines. Keyed padlock and lockout tag are included
  • Runs on compressed air - No need to worry about 3-phase power or running new electrical lines. Installation is simple. It just needs an airline. 100 PSI gives rated tonnage, but it operates anywhere from 10 to 110 PSI. Includes quiet, long-life, steel-reinforced cylinder bumpers
  • Full frame-to-floor design, no floor stand required. The heavier weight and higher tonnage demand a bigger and beefier design. The wide base balances the loads and leveling screws and floor mounting pads assure smooth operation even on unlevel floors
  • Optional with Y-axis bend angle control
    - Mechanical digital readout (MDRO) to control the ram stroke
  • Optional with Pro-Gage® micrometer front or back gauge
    - The universal system can retrofit to any brake for higher productivity. Typically mounted behind the bed, the system can also be front mounted. The system is a proven timesaver when full CNC is not
justifiable. Attach direct mounting rail to the bed for easy left to right positioning, specify length when ordering. With 25" total of X axis travel, 9" of vertical adjustment, and 180° of rotary tube motion, these
units handle a broad matrix of applications. Includes flip fingers, horizontal adapter blocks and protractor scales
    - Precision adjustment dial with brass pointer, revolving handle and knurled locking ring. 0.001" Graduations and 0.050" per dial revolution
    - The heavy-duty adapter block solidly accommodates fingers or specials for develop
    - Offers the rigidity of the direct mount rail available in lengths of 3', 4', 6' and 8'
    - Maximum back gauge depth is reduced by 2" when equipped with micro-adjustable gauge
  • Optional with Smart-Gage™ CNC back gauge
    - It is very user-friendly requiring minimal operator training. Simply select "Edit" mode, move the cursor to the desired line, key in new or over existing data, select "Single" or "Auto" and go! In the
"Auto" mode when the ram retracts to the top, the gauge moves to the next position automatically, or if entered, to the rear to ease part loading or repositioning for the duration of the retract delay
    - An Acu-Rite® linear encoder detects position directly at the gauge bar ensuring positional accuracy regardless of servomechanism errors. Other manufacturers use a rotary encoder mounted on the
motor. This method only measures armature position. Any system backlash is not detected resulting in positional errors and poor repeatability
    - Two rugged, flip finger assemblies with quick clamps, makes setups easy and fast without tools. Strong enough to handle the abuse of heavy material forming. High visibility scales aid positioning
    - Gauge frames mount to the press brake side frames for stable operation. The rear of the side frames, not the bed, is the best location for repeatable performance in a precision gauging system. Utilizes
existing hole patterns in the housings for simple and fast in-field installation. Installation can be performed in less than two hours
    - Specify inch or metric unit and input power voltage when ordering
  • Optional with two hand safety control
    - This control keeps the operator's hands away from the point of operation without sacrificing complete foot pedal control. Both pushbuttons must be pressed and held for air to flow to the foot pedal.
Includes the front workpiece support table
  • Optional with segmented, safety clamp ram
    - It holds safety or hook-tongue tooling while the clamp action design easily holds short tool segments. The flip lever, spring-loaded ram clamps are 5-1/2" long and mount on 6" centers. Safety or
hook-tongue tooling hooks into the clamps. When the clamps are loosened, the tooling cannot drop out of the ram thus eliminating a safety hazard and/or preventing tooling damage. Using safety tongue
tooling is particularly important when using long or tall tooling that is very heavy
  • Optional with front workpiece support table
    - It is vertically adjustable and conveniently supports a supply of small workpieces to be bent. Measurement left to right is equal to the bed width and is 12" deep. The vertical adjustment allows its top
surface to be level with the tops of most bottom dies. This welded and reinforced support can also be used for clamping angle stops or other front positioning devices
  • Optional with additional tooling space side frames
    - Increase tooling space by using taller side frames. Use with commercially available tool clamping systems, box forming punches or to accommodate the special, extra-tall tooling. Standard ram stroke
applies for the unit. Standard tooling can be used, but may require a ram spacer to take up the extra space
  • Atek press brake tooling is standard American-style, steel press brake tooling for use in all press brakes. Just as Atek’s press brakes fill the small-machine void left by the large press brake manufacturers, this press brake tooling meets the need of many small part and work cell manufacturers. The press brake tooling is available on short, cut-to-length tooling at a reasonable price. Other tool styles, tool modification and machining, and special tools are also available

CAUTION: Always wear eye, face, arm, leg and body gear protection when using this or any other press brake
